Beaumont House Press has roots as a literary salon dating to 1985. In 2023, the two co-founders, inspired by the publication of their own poetry collections, decided to expand into a full-scale press. Their dream began with the seemingly modest ambition of publishing the best Canadian poetry. With the help of their community, Beaumont House Press operates as an independent publisher out of Beaumont, Alberta, Canada. As of 2025, we are excited to announce that we have expanded to include a limited selection of fiction and literary nonfiction. We are drawn to works that are heartfelt, experimental, and timelessly rugged. Hybrid works, stylistically marginal, challenging drafts that are both modern and traditional, are welcomed here. We believe we have a duty to serve our readership, which is why Beaumont House Press, originally focused on finding the best Canadian poetry, now endeavours to publish the best Canadian writing.
