Beaumont House Press has roots as a literary salon dating back to 1985. With the publication of their own poetry collections, the two co-founders were inspired to expand into a full-scale press. Their dream began in 2023 and started with what seemed the meagre ambition of publishing the best Canadian poetry. With the support of their community, Beaumont House Press now operates as an independent publisher out of Beaumont, Alberta, Canada. As of 2025, we are pleased to announce that we have expanded to publishing a limited selection of fiction and literary nonfiction. We are drawn to works that are heartfelt, experimental, and timelessly rugged—hybrid works, stylistically marginal, challenging drafts, at once modern and traditional, are welcomed here. We believe that we have a duty to serve our readership, and that is why Beaumont House Press, once dedicated to publishing the best Canadian poetry, now strives to publish the best Canadian writing.
